Pork & Beans originated from 2015 GABF Gold Medal winner Velvet Hog: a luxurious chocolate imperial porter. This already amazing beer is elevated to another flavor dimension by soaking patiently in McKenna Bourbon barrels for a year. Post maturation, this black beauty is infused with Sumatra-Suku Batak coffee beans that were sourced from, artfully roasted in, and handcrafted by Bodhi Leaf – Coffee Traders.

Very much like world class brewers, coffee artisan and founder Steve Sims takes his craft very seriously. Sims devotes his time in search for the best coffee beans this world has to offer; buying directly from small family farms and importing coffee straight to his warehouse in Orange, leaving no room for the middle man to meddle. Each batch sourced is meticulously roasted to highlight specific flavor profiles.
As you might imagine, when you take the artful devotion of the TAPS beer crew, and combine it with the meticulous genius of a man whose made a life out of coffee, the result is nothing short of divine. A beer that’s perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (and brunch – which, if you haven’t had at TAPS, is worth a visit). This beer will tickle every tastebud and leave you wanting just one more sip to explore its murky depth.
