Mikkel Borg Bjergsø does is again! This world renowned gypsy brewer has laid his footprint in Downtown Los Angeles. Mikkeller (Mikkel’s Denmark-based brewery), known worldwide by beer aficionados and gourmands alike, brought DTLA a buzz-worthy grand opening with impressive beer offerings, craft cocktails (Mikkeller Spirits Collection) and elevated bar eats.
The tasting room occupies a garage-like space with plenty a zeitgeist of communal ‘Valhalla’ – vaulted ceilings, comfy booths and whimsical one-of-a-kind artwork from long time Mikkeller artist Keith Shore. Every nook and corner was thought out during the interior design of this industrial space – blueprints displayed in the restrooms, a LEGO wall for beer geeks to play while drinking, and the puncturing glow of spot lighting setting ablaze the ambiance.

Within the space lives Kaffebaren, a concept cafe where tea, coffee, cold brew on nitro, beer, salads, sandwiches and pastries are the stars. These concepts live in symbiosis to satisfy your needs from dawn to dusk – Kaffebarren is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the main tasting room opens its doors at 5 p.m. to wind you down at the end of the day.
