Another year, another anniversary celebration, and another set of unique and amazing memories. Every year, Noble Aleworks’s Anniversary Party sets big expectations, and every year, they exceed them. As all those who’ve attended a Noble Anniversary will tell you, beer is only about half the fun. Between music, colorful photo booths, food trucks, and the whirl of all the familiar local beer fans, it’s easy to get lost in the moment and have those precious memories slip by. I’ve catalogued the festivities, by highlighting my favorite beers from this multi-faceted event.
Bean Bump, ABV 12.7% – If Naughty Sauce is a cappuccino, then Bean Bump is a double shot of espresso. Fans of Noble’s infamous golden milk stout can experience this “Imperial” version of the coffee flavored delight. With all the original flavors, and more than twice the power, Bean Bump is sure to delight beer and coffee lovers alike.
Cinnamon Roast Crunch, ABV 5.4% – Have your bowl of cereal and drink it too with this cinnamon centric brew. Malty and toasty notes engulf the taste buds while silky lactose caresses your senses. Sip after sip, you’ll still be craving more!
Mrs. Knott’s Sweet Sweet Boysenberry Pie, ABV 13.8% – Noble represents its Orange County roots with this tasty sour. Pucker up, buttercup – this one will take your palate for a ride. With a perfect balance of boysenberry sweetness, sour ale tartness, and a healthy backbone to hold the whole thing up, I hope you didn’t miss out on this amazing ale.
I’m Super Duper Cereal About Cap’n Crunch Berries, ABV 12.7% – This year, there was a full lineup of cereal beers for the sampling (including Apple Jacks and Cinnamon Toast Crunch), but one standout was the Cap’n Crunch varietal. With the straight flavor of our favorite childhood cereal, and an aftertaste to match, this tasty beer will take you back to childhood Saturday mornings spent in front of the TV, cartoons ablaze. And, at 12.7%, this one can really sneak up on you – so, be careful, or you might just find yourself waking up on the floor in front of the TV again.
